WL3700 NP release film – non-perforated (1524mm)

AT-WL3700

Wrightlon WL3700 NP release film is an economical, non-perforated 25 µm polyolefin film for composite manufacturing. It releases cleanly from epoxy, polyester and vinyl ester resins and works at temperatures up to 121°C. The lack of perforation keeps the resin in the laminate, which suits no-bleed prepreg curing, smoothing the surface in hand layup and use as a barrier in the vacuum stack. The blue colour makes it easier to check that the film has been removed after cure.

Odpowiednia do:

  • hand layup,
  • vacuum bagging,
  • prepreg curing.

WL3700 NP release film – reliable laminate release at a great price

Wrightlon 3700 NP is an economical, non-perforated release film for composite manufacturing. It separates the laminate from consumables such as the breather, the vacuum bag or the mould. After cure it comes off the part cleanly and effortlessly.

Oznaczenie NP (non-perforated) means a film without perforation. Resin does not pass through it, so it stays in the laminate. This matters wherever we want to control the resin content, obtain a smooth surface or fully cut the resin off from the subsequent layers.

Dlaczego warto?

  • Reliable release from epoxy, polyester and vinyl ester resins
  • Service temperature up to 121°C, suitable for room-temperature and elevated-temperature curing
  • The blue colour is clearly visible on the laminate, making it easy to check that the film has been completely removed
  • Thin (25 µm) and flexible, it lays easily on flat and gently contoured moulds
  • Very good value for money, ideal for series production

Application examples for NP film

  • No-bleed prepreg curing. NP film on the prepreg keeps the resin in the laminate, so the part has the planned resin and fibre content and the breather stays dry.
  • Smooth surface in hand layup. The film is applied directly onto the wet laminate and the air is squeezed out with a roller or squeegee. After cure the surface is smooth and does not need sanding before further processing.
  • Protecting the bench and the mould. Film spread over the work surface or a flat mould protects it from resin when laminating sheets and panels.
  • Barrier in the vacuum stack. Separates the laminate from the breather and protects the pump and lines from being flooded with resin.
  • Separator between parts when curing several parts together or when storing tacky materials.
