§ 9 RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

WWA ECO is an epoxy system with exceptional clarity, primarily intended for decorative applications but also for the production of scientific instruments. Typical products made using WWA include, among others, "river table" tables, jewelry, watches, and other items with embedded decorations.

With over 25 years of experience in formulating transparent casting resins, WWA ECO offers the same advantages as classic WWA systems:

  • Perfect clarity, even at large thicknesses.
  • Excellent UV resistance.
  • Ultra-low viscosity, facilitating degassing.
  • Moderate exotherm.
  • Can be tinted with pigments and dyes.

RESOLTECH prioritizes user safety – all WWA systems are free from solvents and CMR components (carcinogenic, mutagenic, and toxic to reproduction substances).

Mixing Ratios

For the WWA ECO resin system, it is recommended to mix in a weight ratio of 100/40 with the hardener WWB4.

Important Information

Storage: To improve degassing, products should be stored at a temperature between 20 and 25°C. The colder the resin, the higher the viscosity, and the higher the viscosity, the harder it is for bubbles to escape from the resin. This means that the storage temperature should always be above 20°C. However, after mixing, pouring, and self-degassing (approximately 1 hour), the mold into which the resin has been poured can be placed in a cooler room during its curing at temperatures below 20°C, as this will help avoid high exothermic temperatures and thus enable casting of thicker layers.

Mixing: The mixing stage is the most important. 99% of quality differences arise from improper mixing. It is recommended to follow the guidelines below:

  • The mixing ratios are expressed by weight: always use a scale and check if it is accurate – especially if it is battery-powered.
  • Start by pouring the hardener into the mixing container.
  • Add the appropriate amount of WWA resin.
  • Mix thoroughly but slowly to avoid introducing too many air bubbles.
  • When the mixture becomes perfectly clear and homogeneous, pour it into a second mixing container: This is called the double-pouring technique and ensures that unmixed resin and hardener from the sides of the first container are not used.
  • Mix again.

Pouring: When the mixture becomes homogeneous, it is ready to be poured into the mold. At this stage, bubbles may appear, but they will disappear within 15 minutes.

Curing: The thinner the resin layer, the longer it will take to cure. On the other hand, the thicker the casting, the faster it will cure due to the mass effect.

For thick castings, it is recommended to work at room temperature below 23°C, which will reduce the risk of high exothermic temperature.
